NOW BOOKING IN NASHVILLE // AVAILABLE FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS

Nashville’s music scene may be its badge of honor, but Music City’s wedding venues take center stage in this quick tour of unique Nashville wedding venues. Forget stuffy ballrooms and barns. This city offers a huge number of quirky locations that cater to the wild hearts and free spirits — just like you! Whether you’re an animal lover, a history buff, or a music fanatic, Nashville has the perfect backdrop to say “I do” in a way that reflects your one-of-a-kind story.

Here are a few of my favorites.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

The historic home at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere surrounded by colorful trees and fallen leaves, on the List of Unique Nashville Wedding Venues

Ever dreamt of exchanging vows with a giraffe as your witness? What about having a gibbon as a ring bearer? (Actually, those are bad ideas and you’re not allowed to do either, but!) Grassmere Zoo offers an unforgettable experience to their wedding couples. You can get married with a backdrop of “Botswana”, their open African Savannah enclosure, or you can opt for the lawn of the Croft Historic Home on-site. The grounds feature a rustic vibe with a rope bridge, stables, a bamboo walk, and a carousel.

Union Station Hotel

The majestic structure of Union Station at sunset, on the List of Unique Nashville Wedding Venues

Channel your inner Gatsby with a wedding at Nashville’s Union Station Hotel. Dating back to the 1900s, the hotel was once a train terminal on the L&N Railroad that came through downtown Nashville. Since 1986, it’s been a luxury hotel and event space. Its Gothic design is very iconic with towering turrets and arched, stained-glass windows.

For you architecture nerds, the lobby of the Union Station features a 70-foot barrel-vaulted stained-glass ceiling that’s 100 years old. Also, there are GIANT chandeliers.

To make things more fun, the place is supposed to be haunted by a woman named Abigail in Room 711 who waits for her soldier who never returned from war. No, really. You can read about that story here.

Clementine Hall

Clementine Hall, a large brick building with a pitched roof and its courtyard on a sunny day, on the List of Unique Nashville Wedding Venues

Next up, keeping with the historical theme, we’ve got Clementine Hall. This renovated church building on Charlotte Pike has been standing for over 130 years. The 2018 rebuild introduced an enclosed contemporary courtyard, 3 spunky and wallpapered dressing rooms, and a full catering kitchen.

My favorite things about Clementine Hall are the midcentury shapes and styles, especially on the window facades, the whimsical wallpaper, and the amazing light in the main space, Adelaide Hall. (Hey, it’s like we’re related!)

The Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum

The rotunda at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum which features a band of words that reads "Will the circle be unbroken", on the List of Unique Nashville Wedding Venues

No list of unique wedding venues in Nashville would be complete without a least one nod to the music scene. The Country Music Hall of Fame is a large and versatile space with high ceilings, enormous windows, and, as a ceremony space option, a rotunda with the famous lyrics, “Will the circle be unbroken”. It doesn’t get more Music City than that.

For those of you who like to get to the afterparty, CMHoF is literal blocks away from Broadway and the cityscape.

The Graduate Nashville

A bright, retro, and pink hotel lobby at the Graduate Nashville, on the List of Unique Nashville Wedding Venues

Okay, so this might be at the top of the most unique Nashville wedding venues list — The Graduate Hotel. The Graduate Hotel is retro Dolly Parton Barbiecore if that were a thing. Pink is everywhere. Dolly is everywhere. Quirky funk and cozy glam abound!

Some good highlights of this gem are the Dolly Parton-themed rooftop bar, White Limozeen, where guests can stare eye-to-eye with a huge pink Dolly Parton head made of chicken wire (yes, it’s as delightfully chaotic as it sounds), the hummingbird wallpaper in the vintage-style coffee bar, the two-room suites that have a canopy bedframe and a painting of Dolly nestled on the wall, and the colorful Taco Bell sofa display in the lobby.

Long Hollow Gardens

A tented and bright white reception hall with lots of greenery and soft colors at Long Hollow Gardens, on the List of Unique Nashville Wedding Venues

I’ll round out the list with a long-time favorite of mine: Long Hollow Gardens. This Gallatin greenhouse venue is on the list less for quirk and more for charm. Think French countryside meets quaint vineyard. This one-of-a-kind venue sits on 35 acres of photo space including a wildflower field, working vineyards, gardens (indoor and outdoor), and a French-inspired Elm Tree AlleĆ©.

My favorite things about Long Hollow Gardens are the gorgeous white-washed French cottage that acts as the getting-ready space, the fact that the light is always on point because the reception space is in an actual greenhouse, and the staff is always amazing. If you want a wedding that feels like a French garden party in the middle of Tennessee, look for further.

Did these Unique Nashville Wedding Venues Hit?

I love working at fun and off-beat locations in Nashville and beyond. There are so many more awesome venues I could have added to this list. Maybe I’ll work on Part 2! What do you think? Did these wedding venues hit for you? What would you add?
